Hook Truck Safety - Course Details

Course intro:

This hook truck training course, is a 4-hr course with a max of 10 per course, designed to provide trainees with knowledge and skills necessary for operating a hook truck safely. The course involves theory, practical, video and an assessment for each learner.

Please note this course is delivered as in-house training with a practical part which must be observed, and all attendees participate in.

 

The Health and Safety Authority (HSA) is issuing an urgent warning to owners and operators of hook loader skip lorries primarily used in the waste disposal/recycling and construction sectors. This follows an incident where the rear beam of hook loader skip lorry collapsed without warning during maintenance work beneath the rear beam.

 

This course is presented by an experienced Road Safety Expert

Intended audience

This Hook Truck safety course, is designed for staff who operated hook trucks to be safe and to ensure the safety of all others.

 

Entry requirements

Minimum age- 18 years old

Minimum English requirements: Leaners must be able to understand and convey the concepts contained in the programme content.
