Course intro:

This Health & Safety for Warehouse and Shipping staff training course is a Half Day programme, designed to provide participants with the knowledge of their responsibilities regarding health and safety in the warehouse.

Course content

• Discuss the employee responsibilities of the Safety, Health and Welfare at Work Act, 2005.
• Evaluate the requirement of the 2007 General Application Regulations on the employee.
• Hazards and Risk Assessing in the Warehouse and Shipping
• Load security and HAZOP of the whole process
• Receiving and Shipping Risks
• Chemical Handling and Control
• Workplace transport assessment specific to the warehouse
• Discuss the employee role in regard to Safety Statements and what is contained within.

Intended audience

This Health & Safety in Warehouse and shipping training is suitable for all members of staff who might work in these identified areas.

Entry requirements

Minimum age- 18 years old

Minimum English requirements: Leaners must be able to understand and convey the concepts contained in the programme content.
