Course intro:

This Fire Safety in Education course is a 2/3 hr session. It has been put together for all teaching and support staff, so that if a fire break did break out, they will know how to deal with the situation, calmly and safely. Theoretical tuition is reinforced with hands-on fire extinguisher use

Fire Safety Walk is included for all staff to ensure all hazards and risks in an emergency are identified.

• Hazard identifications and Risk Assessment (Section 19 and 20)
• Fire Risk Suppression
• How to activate the alarm?
• What to do on hearing the alarm?
• Local evacuation procedures
• Fire Extinguishers
• Whole school approach to emergencies
• Evaluations

Intended audience

This Fire Safety in Education is required for all teaching and support staff. It brings awareness and knowledge around emergencies and the actions required.
